A longtime area favorite, Michael Thompson steps off into uncharted territory with his new solo effort “Eclectic Electric”. Combining the latest technology with electric guitar prowess and prolific creativity, Thompson creates original jazz-fusion textures and funk grooves reminiscent of his obvious influences Metheny, Scofield, Stern, Ritenour, Carlton etc. with a “full-band” sound. A well-rounded mixture of select cover tunes receives the same, electrified treatment. Be prepared for a very “non-typical” evening of solo guitar/vocal entertainment.
